Thanks to everyone for making the Paranormal 101 class on Saturday a success.  As Nick and I continue to teach these classes, we want to make sure we are not only covering the topics we feel are important, but also covering topics that the participants are interested in.  Having said that, this thread is specifically for requests on topics to be covered at future Paranormal 101 classes.  Please let us know what interests you, what you want to learn more about or what you think might be beneficial for others to learn and understand.

To my knowledge, we do not have another date firmly on the calender, but we will likely have another class this spring.

Thanks again,

I personally would like to have a better understanding of equipment,i.e. emf detector-what are good numbers to stand by. barameter-what does it really mean when the barametric preasure has sudden changes. I guess a little more detail on how to use equipment

Great idea Dave, It is difficult to talk about all the equipment.  I am going to perfect the slides thanks to your help.

I think it would be great to have a Paranormal 102. As a prerequisite, participants should have been to a Paranormal 101 Class. The 102 Class could be all geared towards tech stuff & safety. It would really be a benefit to me, I know if I understood the normal parameters for readings on the equipment, such a normal ranges, what constitutes a high EMF, low EMF, barometric pressure & maybe touch on what role the weather can play with the equipment, anything that could be considered out of range etc.  Within the 101 classes certainly cover safety issues, first aid kits, trespassing & confidentiality......  What does everybody think??
Thanks

I agree Mary.  We need to develop a curriculum that new investigators would need to go through and learn prior to use the equipment.  However, we also need investigators to have a working understanding of vision, misperception, and a variety of other "normal" phenomena.  This knowledge is critical when trying to walk a client through all the other possibilities, versus just attributing everything to paranormal events.
